Evasive Maneuvers is quite obviously one of the better defensive Tactics available. With a potent 4 Defense Bonus (6 total if your ship has no staffing requirements), you'll be able to escape from a number of nasty situations without a scratch. You can also turn direct hits that might have destroyed your ship into partial damage that gives you a turn to run away. But the card also works surprisingly well in a more agressive strategy. With a significant hull integrity reduction of 35%, this card can ensure that direct hits inflicted in battle will destroy their targets. Don't overlook the RANGE reduction and random kill of an ENGINEER, Astrophysics, or Physics personnel. Any of those results can work well in a number of dilemma combos. Combo:
