Card Extra

The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition from Todd Soper (12/23/1999)

See picture of The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition.

This piece of equipment is mainly usable by the Ferengi affiliation, although other affiliations can make use of it through Non-Aligned Ferengi such as Bok, Dr. Reyga or Dr. Farek. However, since only the Ferengi affiliation has access to a Grand Nagus, only they will be able to get the most out of it.

The first function serves much like the Plans of the Tal Shiar, Plans of the Obsidian Order or Prepare The Prisoner in that if you have a Rule card in your hand, and don't have any immediate use for it, you can place it beneath your draw deck in order to draw a possibly more useful card. But the other "recycle" cards allow you to discard the unwanted cards if you don't need them, whereas The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition only allow you to recycle back them under your draw deck. Therefore, add into your draw deck only the Rule cards that you will need since they will eventually work their way back into your hand, and any excess would only clog up your deck and reduce the efficiency of your draws.

The second function, which only works with a Nagus, is what makes this card a natural companion to the Scepter of the Grand Nagus. Together they make playing with Rule cards a breeze. If you have one in your hand that you can't use, or have a greater need for a different one, just use The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition to place the Rule card under your draw deck. Then download to your hand whatever Rule card you need and use the Scepter to play it for free!

Combo:

  • The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition + The Scepter of the Grand Nagus + any Nagus: Your Rule cards will flow freely without hampering or hindering other strategies you may want to focus on.
