Mot's Useless Card Review #81: Ooby Dooby

It's the dance that's taking the Collective by storm...

It turns out that dancing is far from irrelevant to a Borg player looking to expand the ranks. Just place the Borg Queen (FC) in a fairly large hive that includes an Interlink Drone, select Youth as her skill, and then run into your own self-seeded Ooby Dooby. Instead of drawing one card for each of your Youth (that'll be every Borg there, thanks to skill sharing), use the Queen's special skill to download a drone for each card draw. You can immediately double the number of Borg you have. You don't have to download them to the Queen's location, either, making this a great way to stock a second Borg Cube still waiting back at your outpost in the Delta Quadrant.

Non-Borg players can get quite a bit out of the dilemma, too. Run your crew into a Rascals to add as much Youth as you can, then come to Ooby Dooby to draw a fistful of extra cards. It's perhaps a bit more work than Kivas Fajo - Collector or The Traveler: Transcendence, but it is also safe from Kevin Uxbridge and Mirror Image, and can amount to many more cards.

Don't count out the possibility of using Ooby Dooby as a conventional dilemma. It makes a great bridge crew stopper, since so many of the main characters have the skill of Music. It can also filter out most of the personnel who would be able to pass a Wind Dancer, great for following an Edo Probe or setting up a mission steal.

Or maybe you're just a Roy Orbison fan. ;-)
