The second of two Romulan mission specialists in the Mirror, Mirror expansion, Tagus seems redundant on first look - after all, the Romulans already have two Treachery mission specialists! But while the others have the relatively less useful V.I.P. and OFFICER classifications, Tagus is SECURITY, and you can never have too much SECURITY in a Romulan deck.

You don't have to look far to find uses for his Treachery, either. Whether you use it to solve one of the many Romulan Treachery-heavy missions, or to beam him via Subspace Transporter to your opponent's ship to steal a cloaking device, you'll find Tagus a handy man.

One final feature doesn't appear in his game text, but rather in his lore. Tagus is the first universal Romulan bodyguard, expendable enough to substitute for whoever your opponent chose to die when you hit A Fast Ship Would Be Nice, and great protection for your V.I.P.s in battle with Bodyguards.

Combos:

• Tagus + Selok + Parem + Gorrus + Assign Mission Specialists + Expose Covert Supply: A 30-point mission suddenly gives you enough points to pass a Dead End.
• Tagus + Gorrus + Scout Encounter + Extradition: An easy capture, with the prospect of bonus points later when you solve missions with these two.
• Tagus + Subspace Transporter + The Emperor’s New Cloak: You weren't using that cloaking device, were you?
• Bodyguards + Tagus + Tagus + Tagus + ...: Protect all your V.I.P.s and CIVILIANs and let the Taguses do the fighting.
