Mot's Useless Card Review #60: Devidian Foragers |
Put simply, if you own a Regenerate, you almost certainly have it in your deck, whether you're using it as a fallback in case your personnel meet with an untimely demise, or your strategy revolves around replenishing your draw deck. Well, it's hard to win if you don't have any personnel, so here's one way to make sure that your opponent's dead people stay dead. Each time you play Devidian Foragers, you can pick two people out of your opponent's discard pile and place them out-of-play. What's more, you can add their attribute numbers to one of your AU personnel for the rest of the turn. What a great way for Romulans to get over that INTEGRITY hurdle and finally pass a Q dilemma for a change. Or for anyone actually overcoming at Outpost Raid at their outpost. Or for a boost of STRENGTH to score that mortal wound in an approaching battle. Those lonely Borg scouts could certainly benefit from boosts like these. Of course, there aren't any AU Borg, but The Mask of Korgano will fix that. ;-) An Ophidian Cane will double the effect of the Foragers to four cards. With your eyes on say, every personnel of a critical classification, you might be able to bring an Amanda Rogers out of your opponent... and that's when you can nail them with as many copies of The Line Must Be Drawn Here as you can bring to bear. It pays to go through people's trash. |
