Quark’s Treasure from Todd Soper (01/13/2000)

This little jewel of a ship is just what the Ferengi need for fast and easy travel around the spaceline. Only one other Ferengi ship matches Quark’s Treasure for RANGE. But where that ship, the Krayton, requires at least three personnel to staff it, this shuttlecraft has no staffing requirement at all. This ship also has the bonus of 2 possible matching commanders: Quark and Gaila. They can easily be downloaded via Ready Room Door to the ship, although a better choice might be to save the Ready Room Doors for Captain’s Log and Defiant Dedication Plaque and download the two cousins with Ferengi Conference, provided your Nagus is in play. Then use Gaila's Special Download of Hidden Fighter to download Quark's Treasure! For a shuttlecraft, attributes of 11, 6 and 7 are nothing to laugh at. Add in Establish Landing Protocols (also downloadable via Hidden Fighter) and Small Cloaking Device (downloadable by Quark) and your ship will be near impossible to catch and destroy!

Combos:

• Quark's Treasure + Quark + Small Cloaking Device + Engage Cloak + Cargo Bay: Quark can download the Cloaking Device, and then cloak the ship and place it on Engage Cloak. Wait three turns to decloak, and then use your massive accumulated RANGE to complete a mega "cargo run" in one quick turn.
• Quark's Treasure + Launch Portal + Engage Shuttle Operations: If you find yourself in a tight situation on one of your larger ships, suspend play with Launch Portal to evacuate your crew onto Quark's Treasure for a quick getaway.
