The Queen’s Borg Sphere, like its universal sisters, is the Borg equivalent of a shuttlecraft, without requiring Engage Shuttle Operations to carry and launch it from a cube. What sets it apart from the universal spheres is 1 extra RANGE (still only a shaky 5), a 15-point bounty instead of 10 (making it a more attractive target for your enemy) and two potential downloads. One is printed on the Ship card: a special download for Temporal Vortex, which can come in handy either for attempting to stop first contact or for temporarily neutralizing a Borg Ship or Sheliak dilemma. The other is implied in the lore: the Borg Queen (FC) is the matching commander of this ship, and can be downloaded to it with Ready Room Door. A carried Queen's Borg Sphere can provide a safe haven for the Queen or a counterpart, still interlinked to the hive mind but invulnerable to random selections while your drones on the cube scout missions.
