Card Extra

For Cardassia! from Sean O'Reilly (11/09/2000)

See picture of For Cardassia!.

Throughout the run of Deep Space Nine, there were few reasons to like the majority of male Cardassians. But after Dukat gave control of Cardassia Prime to the Dominion, slowly but surely the "spoonheads" became such a sympathetic people that even Kira Nerys would work to free their world.

Damar turned from Dukat's right-hand man to a depressed kanar-drinking Dominion lackey to an honorable man wanting to end the occupation of his homeworld. His Second Anthology persona is the perfect complement to For Cardassia! First off, Legate Damar can be downloaded using Defend Homeworld (which is ironic since that card's image shows the Dominion defending Cardassian Prime); downloaded using Going To The Top; or reported for free using Central Command. Secondly, he has a special download of For Cardassia! making it extremely easy to get the objective into play on your first turn.

Helping you solve the Cardassian homeworld isn't the only bonus this card gives you. Once Cardassia Prime has been secured, discard the objective and place out-of-play that Legate and two other Cardassians with Honor to score 15 points. You'll now have enough points to get around any Dead End. Or discard the objective to download two more honorable Cardassians - maybe Tekeny Ghemor so you can look at your Cardassian opponent's hidden agendas.

Combos:

  • For Cardassia! + Kukulaka + Orb of Wisdom: Each of your Cardassians is INTEGRITY +7.
  • Orb Negotiations + Legate Damar + HQ: Secure Homeworld + For Cardassia! + Defend Homeworld: You just need 25 more INTEGRITY to secure Cardassia Prime on your first turn (not including your normal card play).
  • For Cardassia + Orb Negotiations + Bioweapon Ruse: Score 50 points and place out-of-play your Honor and then with no Honor get another 40 points.
