Card Extra 211th Rule of Acquisition from Todd Soper (01/12/2000) |

|
Long before the Guild of Restaurant and Casino Employees, there was the 211th Rule of Acquisition. Come to think of it, the Guild was started because of the 211th Rule. Well, no matter. Guilds are of no consequence when you can make your employees work to the detriment of your opponent. In Quark’s Bar, while the dabo girls spin the Dabo wheel and the waiters serve drinks to Morn, why not have this Rule stapled to the wall? The more dabo girls and waiters you have present with this Event, the tougher it gets for your opponent to play nasty cards on you during your turn. This can curb such nasty strategies as Wormhole vacations, Rogue Borg pinging, Scout Encounter/Quantum Singularity Lifeforms, Devidian Door-ing, trips into the future by Temporal Vortex, etc. etc. etc. For each and every card your opponent wants to play on your turn (yes, downloading into play counts as playing a card), they'll have to discard as many cards as you have dabo girls and waiters at the Bar or Post. If they don't have as many cards in their hand as they need to discard, they can't even play their card! Of course, they could decrease that number by getting their own personnel to the same location (not too hard to dock on a Nor, and they can dock freely to any Ferengi Trading Post), although this does open themselves up to potentially hurtful confrontation. Remember that if your opponent kills any of your dabo girls or waiters in Quark's Bar, they have to discard cards! Boy oh boy, exploitation has never been more fun! Combos:
